Goderich COVID-19, Cold, Flu Care Clinic to close as of March 31, 2023
Goderich, ON – March 23, 2023 – The Goderich COVID-19, Cold, Flu Care Clinic located above Michael’s Pharmacy at 181 Cambria Road North is closing at the end of day Friday, March 31, 2023. Care for community members with COVID-19, cold and flu symptoms will transition to family physicians, walk-in clinics and pharmacies.
The Goderich CAC/CCFCC has successfully performed 874 clinical assessments and 1178 visits since May 16, 2022, acting as a tremendous resource for our patients and community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Huron Health System’s efforts in establishing the CAC/CCFCC was an effective and efficient method of diverting lower acuity patients away from hospital Emergency Departments and was a prime example of how healthcare can be nimble and respond to the rapidly changing healthcare needs of our communities.
Thank you to all who were involved and provided support for the CAC/CCFCC.
Please know that COVID is still prevalent in our community. If you feel unwell, please continue taking precautions to help limit the spread of respiratory ailments. Patients requiring care for severe COVID symptoms should continue to seek care at the nearest Emergency Department.
