Routine Patient admission should be completed by 1:30 p.m. so that hospital staff has adequate time to perform all admission histories and tests.
Your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (O.H.I.P.) will cover all your in-hospital costs except for:
-preferred accommodation (semi-private or private accommodation)
-telephone
-television
If you do not have O.H.I.P., you are responsible for all costs incurred while in hospital.
Preferred accommodation charges are your responsibility. You may have extra insurance, which will cover this added cost. You are encouraged to review your insurance coverage prior to admission. The hospital will submit the preferred accommodation to your insurance company; however, the responsibility for payment remains yours.
Every effort will be made to give you the type of accommodation you have requested; however, this may not always be possible due to patient needs and space limitations. You may be transferred when a room becomes available.
