Mail
Incoming mail will be delivered to your room daily. Outgoing mail should be left at the nursing station. Any incoming mail received after your discharge will be sent to your home address.

Newspapers
The Goderich Signal Star can be purchased at the Business Office after 11:00 a.m. each Wednesday.
Telephones
There is a telephone service available in most rooms for a daily rental fee. Patients who are being charged the daily preferred accommodation rate will be provided with a telephone at no extra cost. If you would like a telephone in your room, please notify the Admitting Clerk at the time of admission or the nursing staff after you are admitted. In consideration for other patients, it is requested that incoming calls not be made after 9:30 p.m. Long distance calls must be made COLLECT or charged to your personal long distance calling card number. There is also a public pay telephone on first floor, which may be used.
Television
Bedside television rental can be arranged by completing an application card located on the wall near the Nursing Station. Payment is due upon installation. Patients who are being charged the daily preferred accommodation rate will be provided with a television at no extra charge.
E-mail
What a great way to cheer up your loved ones, especially if you are far away! Patient E-mails will generally be delivered to patient by our Volunteers weekdays, once per day, generally in the morning. Any e-mails after that will be delivered the next weekday. Please be sure to include the patient's full name on the email, to facilitate delivery. There is absolutley no charge for this service.
Our patient E-mail Service is designed for get well/congratulatory wishes only. Any other types of communication, such as conducting personal business, questionable content or business/vendor solicitations, will not be delivered. We reserve the right to delete incoming mail deemed inappropriate or detrimental to our patients.
Please be aware that our staff and/or volunteers will need to read your message to confirm the recipient's identity. Do not include any sensitive information: treat your e-mail like a postcard or greeting card. To observe patient confidentiality, we cannot verify delivery of e-mail messages. We do not assume responsibility for the delivery of messages sent to patients who have already been discharged. Information collected in our Patient E-mail Service will not be used for marketing or any other purpose other than the delivery of messages to patients at AMGH.
Unfortunately, we currently do not have a way for our patients to reply to you. But you can be sure that you have just brightened someone's day!
