Welcome to the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation.  Since it's beginnings in 1993, the Foundation has actively worked in partnership with the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital to ensure that quality health care is available to all residents of Huron County and the surrounding towns and villages.  Due to the generosity of our donors and the commitment of countless volunteers, the Foundation has evolved to become a respected presence in the community.  The Foundation continually works to maintain that trust.

     There has been much to celebrate over the years and the Foundation's future is bright with possibilities.  Purchases of essential medical equipment has helped the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital to provide patients with the best in health care.  In December of 2006, the Foundation embarked on the CT Scanner for Huron County Diagnostic Imaging Campaign. The ambitious five million dollar project will result in the installation of a CT scanner and a Picture Archives Communication System (PACS) at the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital.  This state of the art equipment will assist the front line medical teams in providing the best care to their patients.

     In October 2009, the Foundation launched the 'Keeping Abreast' campaign.  The goal of the project is to raise $550,000 for a state of the art full-field digital mammography machine.  The secondary goal of the campaign is to educate and help women to stay abreast of health issues.  The campaign also encourages women to be proactive about breast screening. 

     The Foundation invites you to get involved.  Donate. Volunteer. Attend a Foundation event and keep up to date on the Foundation's activities by reading the Foundation's newsletter online. The Foundation invites you to be part of the tradition of caring and to keep quality health care close to home.

The Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code lays out a set of standards for charitable organizations to manage and report their financial affairs responsibly. By adhering to these standards, we are complying with generally accepted practices for soliciting and managing donor dollars. This is important because you, our supporters, are entitled to transparency and the greatest impact possible for your investmest in us.
